    • Okay, so what does Steve Jobs' life (and now his death) have to do with activism? True, the guys was a total market-based capitalist! But, to give credit where it's due, modern activism would not exist in its current form without the personal computer, which Steve Jobs invented. I'm glad I never had to live with or work with the guy, but I owe many aspects of my modern life to his innovations. The speech he gave to Stanford graduates in 2005 was actually really inspiring and it's worth reading here. "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life." -Steve Jobs
